November, 2010. Sandisk discontinues its corporate products Cruzer Enterprise and CMC -- GLESEC's plan in response to support its clients
With the announcement of Sandisk to discontinue their corporate line of products, Cruzer Enterprise and CMC as of November 2010, GLESEC has taken the necessary steps to ensure continuity of the products needed for the information leakage security practice. The effect of this decision is that Sandisk Enteprise products are no longer for sale and they will not receive additional support. Even though the Cruzer Enterprise can complete its useful lifecycle GLESEC, in support of its member-clients and the market at-large has already adopted a new platform which will ensure continuity to provide a solution that addresses the risks of leakage of information on removable drives. The new platform will provide equivalent functionality in a turnkey mode of operation as it is with all GLESEC offerings which take into consideration the TCM and is geared to reduce the risks associated with data leakage and data loss. The new platform provides secured encrypted drives with a number of security features and with an associated remotely managed software. The solution provides the essential: confidentiality, integrity and availability of the security solution and is delivered with the implementation, support and/or managed services.
